2019 Citroen C4 Cactus facelift unveiled

The Citroen C4 Cactus facelift has been revealed, with extensive changes to the car’s exterior. The front fascia has been extensively reworked. The Citroen chevrons have been moved up to the leading edge of the bonnet, and are integrated into a new upper chrome grille that wraps around the driving light eyebrows. Also reshaped are the disguised main beam units, the number plate surround, and lower air intakes. Along the sides, the updated C4 Cactus has redesigned exterior door panels, which incorporate a smaller, slimmer set of Air Bumps along the bottom edge. Out the back, the C4 Cactus now features a slimmer set of brake-lights stretching into the tailgate. C4 Cactus is the first Citroen outside of China to feature the company’s new Progressive Hydraulic Cushion suspension. Inside, the updated car gains new Advanced Comfort seats. To go along with this, the C4 Cactus should also be quieter on the road thanks to “reinforced acoustic insulation”. The facelifted model is also available with automated emergency braking, speed limit sign recognition, lane departure warning, driver attention alerts, blind spot monitoring, semi-automated parking assistance, rear-view camera, fog lights that activate during cornering, keyless entry and push button start. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is also available. For the European market, the revised C4 Cactus can be specified with either the 60kW, 81kW or 96kW versions of the three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine family. On the diesel side of the ledger, the C4 Cactus will be produced with the 74kW and 88kW BlueHDi diesel engines. Depending on the engine, the C4 Cactus will available with five- or six-speed manual transmissions, or a six-speed automatic.
