Honda has unveiled its Sports Vision Gran Turismo in the virtual world. Styled like a miniature NSX, the car will be playable in Gran Turismo Sport, but there’s no real-world version at the moment.Honda Sports Vision Gran Turismo is seriously light and seriously powerful. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon-fibre, it tips the scales at 899kg.
Power comes from a mid-mounted four-cylinder turbo DOHC-VTEC engine with 301kW, put to the road through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Although no acceleration figures have been quoted, that combination should make the Japanese sports car seriously quick. Sports Vision Gran Turismo has been modelled in a wind tunnel. That means the body, cabin, underbody and engine bay have all been optimised for lightning laps in the virtual world. Unless, of course, the company is planning on putting it into production as a real-world baby NSX…
